Position Overview
As the Regional Sales Director – West Region, you will lead Powerfleet’s direct sales efforts across the western United States, focusing on mid-market and enterprise customers. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving new customer acquisition, expanding existing accounts, and leading a team of high-performing regional sales professionals.
You will act as both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor, owning high-value opportunities while mentoring and scaling a geographically dispersed team. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales- North America, you’ll be instrumental in shaping territory strategy, refining sales execution, and ensuring the West Region meets and exceeds revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Sales Leadership & Growth
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with national revenue goals
- Recruit, coach, and lead a high-performing direct sales team across the Western U.S.
- Drive pipeline growth and ensure achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets
- Engage directly in high-value, complex opportunities and key customer meetings
Enterprise & Mid-Market Sales Execution
- Lead strategic sales cycles from prospecting through close with mid-market and enterprise clients
- Oversee account planning and expansion strategies within existing customers
- Guide team through solution selling techniques tailored to customer operations and outcomes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution
- Provide field insights on customer needs, competitor activity, and product feedback
Forecasting & Sales Operations
- Ensure accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting through Salesforce
- Monitor team performance through KPIs and sales metrics, and implement improvement plans where necessary
- Ensure consistency in deal structuring, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience with 5+ years leading direct sales teams
- Proven success selling complex technology solutions into transportation, logistics, supply chain, or industrial markets
- Track record of meeting and exceeding multimillion-dollar revenue goals
- Strong executive presence and ability to engage with senior stakeholders across customer organizations
- Skilled in team development, pipeline management, and sales process improvement
- Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms
- Based in the Western U.S. with ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Skills
- Experience selling SaaS, IoT, or telematics solutions to mid-market and enterprise customers
- Background in managing strategic account growth and large, consultative sales cycles
- Familiarity with pricing models, revenue forecasting, and territory planning
- Exposure to formal sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger, etc.)
- Data-driven, collaborative, and solutions-oriented sales leader
