Position Summary

Powerfleet is seeking a Vice President, Product & Technology PMO to lead strategic portfolio management and execution across Product, Engineering, Technology, and enterprise transformation initiatives. This role will establish and drive the operating model, governance, and execution discipline needed to translate Powerfleet’s strategic priorities into measurable business and customer outcomes.

The Vice President, Product & Technology PMO will provide a single, integrated view of major initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment around priorities, capacity, dependencies, investments, risks, and delivery. Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, and executive leadership, this role will strengthen portfolio decision-making, improve delivery predictability, and create clear accountability for outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced technology and transformation leader who combines strong portfolio management expertise with business and financial acumen and thrives in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy & Governance

• Lead the Product & Technology PMO, including program management, project management, scrum, and delivery resources.

• Establish and maintain portfolio governance across Product, Engineering, Technology, and enterprise transformation initiatives.

• Develop and manage annual and quarterly planning, prioritization, capacity, and investment processes.

• Create a single executive view of strategic initiatives, including milestones, dependencies, risks, investments, resource requirements, and expected outcomes.

• Establish clear governance, decision-making, and accountability frameworks to support effective portfolio execution.

• Ensure strategic investments remain aligned with organizational priorities and measurable business and customer outcomes.

Program & Delivery Excellence

• Partner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to improve roadmap execution, delivery predictability, and time-to-market.

• Oversee major technology and enterprise transformation initiatives, ensuring effective planning, execution, and risk management.

• Drive cross-functional execution across complex programs involving multiple business functions, technologies, geographies, and stakeholders.

• Identify and proactively address organizational, resource, technology, and delivery dependencies that may impact strategic initiatives.

• Establish consistent program and portfolio management practices while enabling teams to operate with appropriate flexibility and agility.

• Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across portfolio execution.

Executive Reporting & Performance Management

• Develop executive dashboards and KPIs that provide clear visibility into portfolio health, delivery performance, investment, business value, and customer outcomes.

• Provide executive leadership with timely, actionable insights into portfolio progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions required.

• Establish mechanisms to measure value realization and business outcomes associated with strategic technology investments.

• Improve transparency and consistency in how program performance and portfolio health are communicated across the organization.

Financial & Resource Management

• Partner with Finance and executive leadership on portfolio investment decisions, resource allocation, capacity planning, and value realization.

• Develop frameworks to evaluate and prioritize investments based on strategic alignment, expected value, resource requirements, and organizational capacity.

• Monitor portfolio investments and resource utilization to support informed decision-making and effective allocation of resources.

• Balance strategic priorities with available capacity to improve organizational focus and execution.

PMO Transformation & Innovation

• Build and continuously evolve a modern, outcome-driven PMO focused on enabling execution rather than traditional project reporting.

• Leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and data-driven insights to improve planning, reporting, forecasting, risk management, and decision-making.

• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce administrative burden, and increase the speed and quality of portfolio decisions.

• Establish scalable practices and tools that support Powerfleet’s continued growth and transformation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience across technology, product, program management, business transformation, and/or enterprise PMO leadership.

• Significant experience leading global Product and Technology portfolios and complex, enterprise-wide transformation programs.

• Demonstrated experience leading and developing program management, project management, scrum, and/or delivery teams.

• Proven ability to partner effectively with C-suite executives and influence decisions across organizational and functional boundaries.

• Strong understanding of software and product development, enterprise technology, and business transformation.

• Experience supporting or leading major ERP, CRM, technology rationalization, SaaS, data, AI, and cloud initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of portfolio management, strategic planning, capacity planning, resource allocation, and investment governance.

• Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including experience evaluating investments and measuring value realization.

• Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex portfolio information into clear, actionable insights.

• Experience implementing modern portfolio management practices, tools, automation, and data-driven reporting.

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global, highly cross-functional environment.

• Builder mindset with demonstrated success establishing or transforming a PMO into a strategic, outcome-focused function.

Success in the Role

Success in this role will be demonstrated by establishing a transparent and integrated Product & Technology portfolio; improving delivery predictability, prioritization, and capacity management; strengthening visibility into investments, risks, and dependencies; and creating clear accountability for the outcomes of Powerfleet’s most important technology and business transformation initiatives. This leader will help make strategy executable, improve organizational focus, and create greater predictability across execution.

The annual salary range for this full-time position is $230,000- $250,000 USD. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
