Main tasks and responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting
Prepare accurate and timely ledger entries (e.g fixed assets, revenue recognition, tax and payroll)
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Accurate and timely financial statements upload to Cognos for group consolidation
Oversee correct ledger entries
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Oversee reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
2. Internal Controls & Compliance
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, corporate regulations, and audits
Coordinate internal and external audits
3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Monitor cash flow and working capita
Manage banking relationships and optimize liquidity
Ensure funds are available to meet operational needs
4. Strategic Support
Provide financial insights to support decision-making
Monitor actual vs. budget performance and explain deviations
Evaluate financial risks and opportunities
Partner with other departments (e.g. sales, operations, HR) to align finance with business goals
Qualifications:
Previous experience as Financial Controller expected
Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent.
Good time management and a high sense of ownership, as well as, strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Very good understanding of balance sheet, income statement and cash flow interactions
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Experienced in creating financial statements, with general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.
