About the Role
The Financial Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day financial operations of the Fleet Finance function across the Rest of Africa. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, ownership of the month-end close process, and effective management of audits and balance sheet integrity. The position partners cross-functionally to align financial outcomes with business objectives while driving discipline, compliance, and continuous improvement across processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines
Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting, providing clear insights into performance
Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data
Manage and support internal and external audit processes, ensuring readiness and compliance
Oversee day-to-day financial operations for the Fleet Finance function (Rest of Africa)
Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with company and client objectives
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls
Drive a mindset of continuous improvement, including process optimization and automation
Develop and maintain a disciplined, high-performing team through ongoing training and support
Deliver on ad hoc financial analysis and initiatives as required by executive leadership
Qualifications
Grade 12 (Matric)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (BCom or equivalent)
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar finance role within a high-volume, high-value environment
Proven experience managing month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations
Experience supporting or leading audit processes
