About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our Warehouse team in Solihull/Birmingham. This is a hands-on contract role with no fixed end date, offering the opportunity to play a key part in stock control, order preparation, and day-to-day warehouse operations. You will ensure that goods are accurately managed, securely packaged, and dispatched to customers on time, contributing directly to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately book goods in and out of the warehouse stock system.
- Take ownership of stock accuracy, including weekly high-value stock checks and resolving discrepancies.
- Follow dispatch processes, ensuring all paperwork is completed, signed, and filed correctly.
- Manage and process stock returns to suppliers.
- Assist with unloading deliveries and storing goods in the correct locations.
- Prepare and package customer orders securely and accurately.
- Support general warehouse duties, including printing delivery notes and preparing dispatch paperwork.
- Report daily updates and issues to the line manager
About You
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or stock control is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Basic IT skills, with the willingness to learn stock management systems (training provided).
- Comfortable with manual handling, lifting, and other physical tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:45pm
- Contract role with no fixed end date, with the potential to transition to a permanent role
