About the Role
We are looking for a technically adept and solution-oriented AIoT & Telematics Solutions Engineer to join our growing team. This role serves as a critical link between Sales, Product, and Delivery, supporting the full lifecycle of Powerfleet’s AIoT and telematics offerings—from pre-sales consultation through implementation and post-sales support. You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and optimizing innovative solutions that leverage the power of artificial intelligence, IoT technologies, and telematics to drive real-world impact for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Support
- Partner with Sales to understand customer needs and tailor AIoT and telematics solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Participate in client-facing engagements such as discovery sessions, technical workshops, and product demonstrations.
- Develop technical proposals, create solution architectures, and lead proof-of-concept efforts.
Project Delivery
- Translate customer requirements into detailed Statements of Work (SoWs) and scalable technical solutions.
- Support implementation teams by configuring, integrating, and deploying AIoT and telematics platforms.
- Ensure timely and successful delivery in collaboration with Project Managers.
Post-Sales Support
- Serve as a technical point of contact for deployed solutions, providing ongoing troubleshooting and support.
- Facilitate training for customers and internal teams to drive adoption and usage.
- Gather customer feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Management to align customer use cases with product roadmaps and enhancements.
- Contribute to refining solution design processes, documentation, and best practices.
- Share insights from the field with Engineering and Product teams to influence future innovation.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical solutions role within AIoT, telematics, or a related domain.
- Solid understanding of IoT architectures, telematics systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with API integration, data flows, and edge computing devices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Proven experience developing technical documentation such as SoWs, solution diagrams, and implementation guides.
Preferred
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven applications in IoT ecosystems.
- Experience with vehicle telematics, fleet management, or smart city technologies.
- Relevant certifications in cloud computing or IoT platforms.
