Position Summary
Powerfleet is seeking an HR Operations & Systems Manager to lead the administration, optimization, and governance of our HRIS platform, BambooHR, while serving as the operational backbone of the global People function. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, designing scalable HR processes, and driving continuous improvement across HR systems and operations. Working closely with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and Talent Acquisition, the HR Operations & Systems Manager will support a distributed, global workforce by delivering efficient, reliable, and compliant HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS Administration & Systems Management
Serve as the primary system administrator for BambooHR, managing system configuration, workflows, custom fields, permissions, security roles, and integrations.
Maintain and optimize HR system functionality to support evolving business and organizational needs.
Support system upgrades, testing, enhancements, and new module implementations, including user acceptance testing and change management activities.
Act as the primary point of contact for HR system questions, troubleshooting issues and partnering with BambooHR support as needed.
HR Data Management & Reporting
Own the accuracy, integrity, and maintenance of employee data throughout the employee lifecycle, including hires, transfers, promotions, organizational changes, and terminations across all global regions.
Develop and maintain HR dashboards, reports, and workforce analytics to support business leaders, HR leadership, and executive reporting.
Generate standard and ad hoc reports for headcount, turnover, organizational metrics, compliance, and strategic workforce planning.
Ensure data governance standards and reporting accuracy across all HR systems.
HR Operations & Process Improvement
Design, document, and continuously improve standardized HR processes and workflows, including onboarding, offboarding, organizational changes, approvals, and employee lifecycle activities.
Identify opportunities to automate manual HR processes and improve the employee and manager self-service experience.
Develop documentation, process maps, and standard operating procedures to support operational consistency across global teams.
Systems Integrations & Cross-Functional Partnership
Manage integrations between BambooHR and connected systems, including payroll, benefits, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and single sign-on (SSO) platforms.
Partner closely with Payroll, Finance, IT, Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partners to ensure accurate and timely data flow across systems.
Troubleshoot system integration issues and resolve data discrepancies to maintain operational efficiency.
Compliance & Data Security
Ensure HR systems comply with company policies and applicable data privacy regulations.
Maintain appropriate system security, user access controls, audit readiness, and data retention practices.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate HR system documentation and reporting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4+ years of experience in HR Operations, HRIS Administration, or People Systems.
Direct, hands-on experience administering BambooHR is required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience developing HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics.
Experience managing HR system integrations, including payroll, benefits, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and single sign-on (SSO).
Strong understanding of HR data management, reporting, and system administration best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to manage confidential employee information with discretion and integrity.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across multiple business functions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting a multi-region or global workforce.
Experience in a post-merger integration or M&A environment.
Experience implementing or optimizing HR systems and HR technology solutions.
Experience with HR process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

The base salary range for this full-time position is CAD $85,000-95,000, with eligibility for additional variable compensation. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and location.
