About the Role
The Enterprise Business Development Manager plays a critical role in identifying and securing high-value, long-term business opportunities for PowerFleet. This position focuses on cultivating specified Enterprise opportunities within a designated target segment. This role represents a key pillar for Powerfleet’s growth strategy, to further cement it as a market leader in winning and supporting Enterprise fleets across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and build relationships with key decision-makers, including C-suite executives and procurement leaders.
- Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, structuring high-value deals to maximize revenue and long-term partnerships.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including product, marketing, and customer success, to ensure seamless solution implementation and long-term success.
- Achieve customer acquisition and revenue targets as per sales quota requirements
- Representing PowerFleet at high-level industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan targeting specific identified high-value customers within the designated industry vertical.
- Become an expert within the designated industry vertical via monitoring industry trends, competitive landscape, and market shifts to identify emerging opportunities within the designated industry vertical.
- Lead complex tender and bid processes to win competitive Enterprise opportunities.
- Act as a team player and ensure value-add to the positive and collaborative team orientated culture.
- Maintain accurate and up to date CRM prospect, forecasting and opportunity records
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and account performance tracking.
- Proven background in formal sales methodology (eg SPIN Selling, Consultative Selling, Miller Heiman etc)
- Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals.
- Deep understanding of the relevant industry vertical and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset.
- High quality written & verbal communication as well as excellent presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 20-30%) to meet with key customers and attend industry events.
