Position Overview
As a Regional Sales Manager (RSM), Public Sector- West Region, you will play a critical role in driving growth, fostering strategic partnerships, and securing contracts with federal, state, and local government entities. You will be a key player in navigating public procurement cycles, RFP/RFI processes, and contract negotiations, positioning Fleet Complete as a trusted partner for public agencies managing transportation, emergency response, utilities, and municipal fleets.

Reporting to the Sales Director, USA, you will work closely with government agencies, procurement officers, and AT&T sales teams, ensuring seamless adoption and long-term success of Fleet Complete solutions. Key Responsibilities
Government Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute a territory sales strategy focused on federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Navigate public procurement cycles, RFP/RFI processes, and contract negotiations to drive revenue growth.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and agency leaders to position Fleet Complete as a preferred solution.
- Deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proposals tailored to public sector needs.
Strategic Partnerships & Channel Development
- Collaborate with government procurement agencies, GSA schedules, cooperative purchasing programs, and public sector distributors to expand market presence.
- Train and enable AT&T and channel sales partners to enhance adoption and successful deployment of Fleet Complete solutions in government fleets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, cybersecurity requirements, and data governance policies relevant to public sector contracts.
Customer Engagement & Support
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Fleet Complete solutions for law enforcement, first responders, municipal fleets, and utility agencies.
- Provide consultative guidance, addressing fleet safety, operational efficiency, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless onboarding and implementation experience for government clients.
Market Insights & Sales Optimization
- Monitor legislative changes, grant funding opportunities, and industry regulations that impact public sector fleet management.
- Utilize CRM tools and data analytics to track sales performance, refine strategies, and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, partnerships, and technology trends influencing government fleet operations.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in public sector B2B sales, preferably in SaaS, IoT, or telematics industries.
- Proven success in government procurement, RFP/RFI processes, and contract negotiations.
- Strong understanding of public sector technology needs, fleet management, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to build relationships with government agencies, municipalities, and public transportation authorities.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with GSA schedules, cooperative purchasing programs, and public sector funding mechanisms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Public Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required.
- Must be located in Dallas
Preferred Skills
- Experience in wireless, GPS, or government fleet technology.
- Knowledge of smart city initiatives, emergency response solutions, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex government sales cycles.
- Data-driven approach with experience in sales analytics and market research.
